The “Fieristico” (Trade Show) district, which for nearly 50 years has hosted the Salone Internazionale della Nautica (International Boating Exhibition), better known as the
Salone Nautico, has developed exclusively by stealing space from the sea from which it will steal ever-more in order to continue to grow.
The
Salone Nautico Internazionale is organised by the 1966 partners of Ucina (professional association of the yachting industry), and over the course of nearly 50 editions has succeeded in capturing the undisputed world-wide leadership of Trade Shows of this type, thanks also to the competence of its product offer (which ranges from the largest yacht in the world to fishing rods), and to the beauty and uniqueness of the expo structure and its absolutely unique and enviable location: more than 100,000 m2 of aqueous mirror and more than 200,000 m2 of ground space, between pavilions and open-air surfaces in a highly spectacular context, directly at the entrance to the Genoa harbour. Nearly 1,500 exhibitors, 2,500 crafts and an ever-expanding exhibition area, thanks to the renovated B Pavilion designed by architect Jean Nouvel, and to the new technical “Darsena” (dockyard,) completely dedicated to yachting, await you each year.
The position of the trade-show area is also unique in itself: in
the city centre.
This allows the visitors to reach the Salone but also to experience the city
after closing, and to be able to unite typically business commitments with a
short tourist/cultural holiday. The entrance to the Genoa’s most important
motorway is just 5 minutes away by car, which reaches the coastal areas of
Levante and Ponente, as well as the immediate hinterland.
Palazzo Fieschi, with it’s fortunate location at just 5 minutes from the Busalla
exit of the A7 Genova Milano motorway, and at just 28 km from the
Salone
entrance, can therefore legitimately be one of the preferred hotels to stay in
during visiting days, or even for the exhibiting companies, certain to allow
their staff to stay in a comfortable, peaceful, elegant-yet-friendly hotel
Palazzo Fieschi also offers an excellent restaurant, directly managed down to
the last detail by the owner, and is just 5 minutes by car from the Genova
Casella railway station.
The “Trenino” (as it is lovingly called by all Genoese people), with its
convenient station has a large and quiet car park, can be an excellent
alternative, above all for those visiting or attending the
Salone for multiple
days who don’t want to waste time and money finding a parking place in the city
centre. We provide our dear guests with a free shuttle to and from the Casella
Station (as long as it is organised the evening before), to reserve tickets,
recommend itineraries and much more.
All “seasoned” with prices which will certainly leave you with a favourable
impression.
